Chris Mazdzer to compete in American Ninja Warrior

LAKE PLACID — After retiring from luge this past December, 2018 Olympic silver medalist and former Saranac Lake resident Chris Mazdzer is set to return back to the spotlight.

The four-time Olympian who now lives in Salt Lake City, Utah will compete on NBC television’s “American Ninja Warrior.” The episode will air on Monday, July 8 at 8 p.m. on NBC and will be available for streaming on Peacock.

Mazdzer, 36, will become the fourth USA Luge athlete to have competed on “American Ninja Warrior” since its inception in 2009. The previous USA Luge athletes include Olympians Preston Griffall, Andrew Sherk and Kate Hansen.

The show “American Ninja Warrior,” is in its 16th season, and the episode featuring Mazdzer will be on this season’s fourth episode.
