To the editor:
Nearing minus 30 degrees at 4:35 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 4,, my wife wakes me to say, “The power is out!”
I called Lake Placid Fire Department dispatch.
Dispatch they did. Less than four hours later the Lake Placid Electric Department had installed a new transformer on our property line!
Lake Placid is the Olympic Village in so many ways!
We feel fortunate to have such incredible services a phone call away!
Thank you to the men and women who help make this village run so smoothly!
