Residents and visitors to the Lake Placid region are being invited to visit John Brown Farm at 115 John Brown Road, Lake Placid, on New Year’s Day for a guided hike on the trails.

Guided hikes will start at 10:30 a.m. at the visitor center in the barn. There will be a choice of a longer or shorter walk (1-2 miles). If the snow is deep, organizers recommend guests bring snowshoes, or other appropriate footwear and attire for the conditions.
