ON THE SCENE: Keene Valley’s Rev. Milton Dudley retires

On Sunday, Aug.21, the Rev. Milton Dudley gave his last sermon, and on Aug. 28, answering questions from the congregation, he stood for the last time in the pulpit.
Dudley came to the Keene Valley Congregational Church from Seattle and took up his duties on Aug. 23, 1999.
Dudley served in four other churches before coming to Keene Valley. His journey here began when he picked up a Sports Afield magazine lying on a hallway floor and noticed it contained an article “America’s Top 50 Outdoor Communities.” Keene Valley was one of those listed.
