Lake Placid soccer camps return this summer

The Lake Placid Soccer Centre will host an overnight youth soccer camp at St. Lawrence University from July 21 to 27, as well as, two days camps in Lake Placid from July 15 to 19 and Aug. 12 to 16.

This year marks the 48th anniversary of the camp and more than 75,000 campers have attended over the years. The LPSC camp program focuses on individual player improvement using the Coerver coaching method, which is used in over 50 countries.

“There is nothing like a Camp week away from home with fellow soccer friends learning new soccer skills,” Camp co-founder and director Mike McGlynn said. “Our proven camp program permits a camp atmosphere that allows our campers to take advantage of the vast experience of our International staff, the unmatched athletic facilities of St. Lawrence University and our core focus on The Coerver Coaching Method.”

Lake Placid Soccer Centre camps have different options, inclduing goalkeeping, advanced field player option, the competitive camp session, local day camper option and team training for club or school teams.

The overnight camp sessions include support from certified athletic training staff, food and an off-field evening social camp activity schedule.
