LAKE PLACID — The Sara-Placid Lakers Youth Hockey organization held its end of the year awards ceremony on March 16, at the Saranac Lake Civic Center. The organization recognized over 130 players this season and gave out some awards.

¯ Joseph Drutz Memorial Awards (Squirts) for outstanding play and sportsmanship were awarded to Wyatt Crosby and Estelle Walden.

¯ Clinton McDougall Memorial Awards (Pee Wees) for outstanding play and sportsmanship were awarded to Jonah Taylor and Fynn Seguin.

¯ Twerp Amell Memorial Awards (12u Girls) for sportsmanship, effort, loyalty, fair play and citizenship were awarded to Madelyn Clark and Quinlin Dann.

¯ Donald E. Duffy Memorial Awards for demonstrating the qualities of faith, perseverance, a positive attitude, dedication and respect were awarded to Abilene Varner and Andrew Varner.
