Local New York Ski Educational Foundation athletes competed in various Alpine ski races at Whiteface, Gore Mountain and in New Jersey on Feb. 24 and 25.

In New Jersey, the FIS teams competed in the Winter for Kids Slalom races where NYSEF and Northwood athlete Julianne Brochu took the top spot overall with fellow NYSEF and Northwood athlete Arielle Haccoun Choquette was just behind her with a third overall and second place for the U18s. On the second day, their teammate Cara Dempsey came in fifth place overall and third for the U18s.

NYSEF U14 athletes from Winter Term and NYSEF Belleayre had a big weekend of skiing at McCauley Mountain where they podiumed. There was also a Super G event at Whiteface.

On Sunday, NYSEF Whiteface hosted a Mini World Cup Kombi race for U10s, while the NYSSRA U16 Giant Slalom was also held at the same venue.

At Gore Mountain, the NYSEF U16s competed in the Sports Page Cup Slalom.
