Three student-athletes from the Lake Placid volleyball team were honored as all-stars in their respective leagues this past season.
The Blue Bombers’ season ended in the Section VII, Class C semifinal game against Saranac Lake. The team finished with a 5-14 record and had three Champlain Valley Athletic Conference selections.
Lake Placid’s selections were Nadia Phillip, Norah Galvin and Sydney Garrison. Phillip was named to CVAC first-team, Galvin earned second-team honors and Garrison was an honorable mention.
Phillip, a senior, was one of the section’s best hitters this past season, she recorded 226 kills, breaking an unofficial school record while also leading the team with 173 digs. Both Phillip and Galvin received CVAC honors in 2022.
Galvin, a junior, was once again the Blue Bombers’ top setter, leading the team with 242 assists — she also led the team in that category last season. Galvin also finished second on the team with 140 points and third in digs with 83.
