USA Luge athletes team up for fundraiser
LAKE PLACID — Five members of the USA Luge National Team have partnered with Folds of Honor to help give scholarships to the families of those who perished or were disabled in military or first-response situations. Scholarships are typically valued at approximately $5,000, which also serves as the fundraising goal for each athlete. The athletes who agreed to help raise funds are Brittney Arndt, Summer Britcher, Zack DiGregorio, Dana Kellogg, Chris Mazdzer and Emily Sweeney.
“We are so excited to have USA Luge athletes fundraising for the Folds of Honor this year,” said Jenner Kreifels, regional development officer for Folds of Honor. “Their emphasis on valuing the responsibility of connecting Americans to a movement larger than us all is apparent in their efforts here to help raise life-changing scholarships for our American heroes.”
