Steve Reynolds inducted into SLU athletics Hall
Lake Placid native Steve Reynolds was recognized for his athletic achievements by being inducted into the St. Lawrence athletic Hall of Fame on June 2.
Reynolds, a member of the SLU Class of 2000, followed in his family’s footsteps as he became a St. Lawrence’s Alpine ski team member. Reynolds was the fourth in his family to join the SLU community.
He was a top-level FIS skier and earned All-American honors in 1998, recording a seventh-place finish in the slalom and an 11th-place finish in the giant slalom at NCAA Championships. Prior to his time with the Saints, he was a member of the U.S. Eastern Development Team from 1995-1996.
After graduation, Reynolds began his career in real estate, building a development firm based out of Raleigh, North Carolina and a brokerage firm called The Reynolds Group in Lake Placid. He and his family now help sponsor the Saints Alpine Skiing MVP awards in honor of his late father JD Reynolds. Steve and his wife Brooks have two children, their son Thomas and daughter Ava.
