Runners leave from the castle on Whiteface Mountain at the start of the Peak 2 Brew relay race in the early morning hours of Aug. 12. Event organizers selected the Adirondack Mountain Club as one of its supporting charities, and donated $1,500 to ADK. A total of 53 teams, consisting of approximately 600 runners, completed the 230-plus mile running race that started on Whiteface Mountain and finished at the Saranac Brewery in Utica.
