Finland (2-1) will face Canada (3-0) in the championship game Saturday night in the pre-Olympic event. Canada rallied to beat Sweden 4-3 earlier Friday.

Megan Bozek had a power-play goal for the U.S. (1-2) in the second period to cut it to 2-1, and Tapani set up Jenni Hiirikoski’s goal midway through the third period.

Finland beat the United States for the first time in the history of the tournament.

Natalie Spooner scored twice and Jayna Hefford had the winner for Canada, a 3-1 winner over Finland on Tuesday night.

Trailing 3-1 in the second period, Canada started the comeback on Spooner’s goal at 6:08 of the second period. She tied it at 3:31 of the third, and Hefford scored 3 minutes later.

Sweden (0-3) scored its first goal in three games when Anna Borgqvist connected in the first period. Melanie Daoust tied it late in the first, but Jenni Asserholt and Lina Backlin beat Canadian goalie Shannon Szabados 20 seconds apart in the second.

The U.S. will face Sweden in the third-place game.
