I am writing to express my heartfelt gratitude to the first responders who assisted during the recent fire at my home. I am devastated by the loss of my pet/best friend Tucker, as well as my home and personal belongings. The prompt response, professionalism and compassion made the situation more manageable than would otherwise have been.

In the midst of such a chaotic and frightening situation, your calm demeanor and expertise provided me with much-needed reassurance. Your dedication to serving and protecting our local communities is truly commendable, and I am deeply grateful for everything you did to help me during this difficult time.

Please accept this heartfelt thank you as a small token of my appreciation to the selfless service to all those who responded from the village of Lake Placid, village of Saranac Lake, and towns of Wilmington, Keene and Jay. The bravery and commitment of all the first responders have left a lasting impression on me, and I will always be grateful for your assistance.

A special thank you to the Lake Placid animal control officer, Amberly Rounds, who came to my aid and made all the arrangements for Tucker to be cremated, and to the Remember Me Pet Cemetery, who extended their services free of charge.
