‘Who’s the radical now?’

To the editor:

This past weekend we had reason to celebrate; finally, some measurable snow, an unexpected visit by a grandson and the Bills winning their division and clinching some post season action.

Unfortunately, all those positive happenings were overshadowed by the undemocratic musings of Rep. Elise Stefanik and her puppet master grifter Donald Trump. Good ole Elise will not commit to certifying the upcoming election results when pressed. Spewing the same old crap about the election lies that there was fraud and that some votes were unconstitutional due to how they were cast. Even though many Trump appointed judges and the highest court in the land found none of this to be true. Following orders or string pulls she refers to the 1,200-plus charged/convicted January 6th insurrectionists as hostages and not the criminals they are.

This 21st district voter hopes and prays that her puppet master picks Elise to be his running mate so we can be rid of her representation forever. There must be a more independent thinking resident here that can/will replace her and truly represent all of their constituents.

The contrasts recently couldn’t be more glaring, President Biden warning the nation of the perils facing our democracy and Trump refusing to sign the Illinois loyalty oath promising not to overthrow the government. One has to wonder in what world not pledging to not overthrow the government is OK. Who’s the radical now?
