Wishing the new sports editor well
To the editor:
As a former Lake Placid News sports editor, I’d like to congratulate Lou Reuter on his remarkable 26-year career at the News and Enterprise, and offer a warm welcome to new sports editor Parker O’Brien. Like Parker, I was just 22 when I was hired at the News, and I still remember the thrill I felt when the late Ron Landfried offered me the job.
From high school hockey to the Olympic Games, Lake Placid holds a unique place in the world of sports. It was an honor for me to cover this special community for the LPN, and years later those memories are still among my favorites. I hope that Parker has the same experience.
