The Lake Placid Alumni Association is one of the oldest alumni associations in the country. One of its missions is to assist alumni in continuing their education. In that endeavor, the association is now accepting applications for its alumni scholarship. All recipients must be alumni of Lake Placid Central School, completed at least one year of higher education, have a GPA of at least 2.5 or higher and be enrolled for the next term.

All applicants must submit one letter of recommendation (preferably from a professor or employer) and proof of his/her GPA and enrollment status. Each applicant must also submit an essay or letter explaining why he/she should be awarded the scholarship. Applicants are judged on quality, completeness and need of the applicant. All requirements must be received by June 1, 2015. Applications should be mailed to Alumni Scholarship, P.O. Box 1438, Lake Placid, NY 12946.
