Many minds seem to be made up with presidential election
It’s no surprise that most of the people who took the online poll last week at the Adirondack Daily Enterprise — our sister newspaper — said they know who they will be voting for in the upcoming presidential election.
In all, 638 people voted in this unscientific poll, which asked the question, “Have you decided who you will vote for in the presidential election?” After a week, 93% of the people taking the poll said yes, 3% said no and 4% said they don’t plan on voting. Those results mirror other polls and the overall sentiment that there are currently very few undecided voters in America.
This is an important election, and citizens know it. It’s that large number of people who’ve already made up their minds –and the small percentage undecideds — that Kamala Harris and Donald Trump are looking to attract on Nov. 5. Therefore, we expect voter turnout to be high. Across the 21st Congressional District, more than 70% of active registered voters cast ballots in the 2020 presidential election. We expect more of the same.
We encourage you to vote. It’s easier than ever — with absentee ballots, early voting and in-person voting on Election Day.
