Save the dates, Oct. 20 to 23, and make plans to attend this year’s Lake Placid Film Festival, organized by Adirondack Film.

The 21st annual event will include a weekend full of films, socials and special programs.

The schedule includes a showcase of more than 20 U.S. or internationally acclaimed, recent or soon-to-be-released, feature-length films with Q&As from their visiting filmmakers.

There will be a showcase of 30 short films, 15 minutes or less, from the “Your Shorts are Showing” film competition.

And there will be panels and educational seminars from thought-leaders in their varying areas of expertise.

It begins on Thursday, Oct. 20 with a Trailer Party previewing each feature length film showcased at the festival. The Lake Placid Laughs comedy reception returns the next day. And on Saturday night, there will be a Shorts Awards Ceremony.

An All-Session Festival Pass costs only $135.
