As the warm weather approaches, the Lake Placid Public Library is bustling with activity and preparing for a busy summer season.

The planters surrounding the area have been carefully filled with an array of colorful flowers, adding a vibrant touch to the landscape. The picnic tables and Adirondack chairs have been strategically placed near Mirror Lake, offering a perfect spot for visitors to relax and enjoy the picturesque view. With such thoughtful preparations, the library is ready to welcome visitors and patrons and provide a delightful summer experience.

The LEGO Club meets on the last Thursday of every month, during the school year, from 3:30 to 4:30 p.m. in the children’s room. Each session has a specific theme, and the children create their LEGO structures based on that theme. This month’s theme was “party time,” and we saw some fantastic creations.
