ON THE SCENE: Something new at the Adirondack Store

The Old English four “somethings” that a bride should wear – something old, something new, something borrowed, something blue – is a good way to anticipate what the Adirondack Store will be like under new owners Stephen Dori-Shin and Christopher English.
The traditional elements that Ruth and Jon Prime carried forth from the days when the store was founded by Tad and Linda Sturges will still be there, along with ideas and innovations that the Primes developed.
At the same time, there will be elements “borrowed” from Stephen and Christopher’s Antediluvian Antiques & Curiosities Main Street store, and then there will be a whole lot new. Also, the old rugs are being replaced with hardwood floors, the adjacent building often filled with sale items has been renovated, insulated and connected – and the interior design service will be strengthened.
