Terry A. Chuba Sr.

Terry Andrew Chuba Sr. passed away at CVPH in Plattsburgh on Wednesday, Oct. 29, 2025, at the age of 77.

He was surrounded by loving family members as he embarked on a new journey into the next dimensional realm for which he had a lifelong philosophical interest and spiritual passion.

One could frequently find him engaged in reading about, contemplating and discussing perplexing metaphysical questions; or artistically penning countless beautiful songs about matters of human conditions and soul transitions.

For many years he entertained eager and receptive audiences by strumming his guitar and singing his lyrics with a pleasing and impressively powerful voice.

Terry was born in Troy on July 5, 1948, graduating high school in Mechanicville, growing up amidst a large, supportive family comprised of four sisters — Sandy, Cathy, Cindy and Pam — and brother Larry.

He is predeceased by his wife and devoted love of his life of 55 years, Marilyn Chuba, and is survived by his two children, Terry Jr. and Sara, and three grandchildren, Griffeon, Gabriel and Elizabeth.

Terry made his living as a powerhouse master roofer, carpenter and house designer, often traveling the country working on untold numbers of aesthetically and structurally successful projects, all while willingly lending his considerable skills to friends and family for free.

Terry, blessed with inherent ethics, honesty and charity, was also gregariously social, possessing a welcoming humorous demeanor.

He personified the true unconditional friend to all.

He will be massively missed by the myriad lives he cheerfully influenced with his colorful conversations and stories. Terry’s departure will leave an unbridgeable void for everyone that he positively touched on his joyous and generous earthly journey.

Everyone that stepped toward his path loved him dearly, and he will be collectively remembered as the best of what we can be to each other. The M.B. Clark, Inc., Funeral Home in Lake Placid is in charge of arrangements.
