Annie was born Sept. 5, 1963 in Keene Valley, the daughter of Morland and Emma “Andy” (Anderson) Lawrence.

Annie graduated from Lake Placid High School in 1981 and attended North Country Community College until she joined the U.S. Air Force in 1986, serving in Operation Desert Shield/Desert Storm. In 1996, Annie moved to Minot, North Dakota, where she earned a Bachelor’s of Social Work. She utilized her degree by working at the CAPH program for adolescent behavioral health. In 2005 Annie moved to South Carolina, where she became an LPN and worked for the Veterans Administration as a nurse until she moved to Las Vegas, Nevada in 2020.

Annie lived a life of service, serving our country, our children and her fellow veterans. She will always be remembered by family and friends, near and far.

Annie leaves behind her child, Kara, and their wife Monerah of Las Vegas, Nevada; sisters Judy Winch, and Linda Lawrence, both of Wilmington; brothers Bobby Joe Lawrence of Tennessee and Royce Lawrence of Wilmington; nieces Kasey (Jamal) Brooks of South Carolina and Darcy (Josh) Jones of North Carolina; nephews Todd (Julie) Winch of Jay, Jody (Nicole) Winch of Tupper Lake, William (Megan) Baltz of Texas; aunt Jean (William) PJoonotts of Oklahoma and several cousins.

Annie is preceded by her parents, son Ryan Douglas Jones and brother Larry Lawrence.

A private burial will be held at the Pleasant View Cemetery in Wilmington on Saturday, Aug. 10 with the family. A Celebration of Life will be held at the Twisted Raven in Wilmington following the burial at noon. Family and friends are encouraged to attend.
