DEATH: John K. Rand
John K. Rand, 63, best known by his friends and family as “Curly,” died unexpectedly and peacefully during his sleep at his Lake Placid residence on Sept. 24, 2023.
Born on July 8, 1960, he was the son of Jay Rand Sr. and Eileen Rand of Lake Placid. A funeral Mass was held at 1 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 27 at St. Agnes Church in Lake Placid, followed by a burial at St. Agnes Cemetery. The Rev. Paul Kelly officiated. A reception for family and friends was held from 2:30 to 4:30 p.m. at the Craig Wood Golf Course club house.
