Born on July 23, 1949, in Lake Placid, she was the daughter of Kenneth and Peggy Torrance. She went to Lake Placid High School, graduating in 1968. Pam went on to graduate from Pace University with a BSN in nursing and was a dedicated nurse for over 50 years.

She was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother. Pam loved to hike and camp, refinish furniture, work on DIY home renovations, take care of her beloved animals and spend time with her family and friends in Lake Placid. She spent her life helping others whenever an opportunity arose and was known for her sense of humor and generous spirit.

Pam was predeceased by her late husband, Michael Pappas of Mount Vernon, New York, in 1975.

She is survived by her beloved husband of 46 years, B. Gordon Green, her children Jeremiah and Alison Green of Redding, Connecticut, and Jocelyn and William Austen of Witham-on-the-Hill, United Kingdom, as well as her five grandchildren, Cyrus, Archie, Penelope, Althea and Sebastian.

Calling hours will be held from 1 to 2 p.m. Saturday, July 29 at the M.B. Clark Funeral Home in Lake Placid, with a short service at 2 p.m. Burial will follow at the North Elba Cemetery on Old Military Road. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to the American Lung Association.
