Born in Plattsburgh on March 31, 1975, she grew up in Lake Placid and graduated from Lake Placid High School. Traci moved to the Hilton Head, South Carolina area and worked many years in the hospitality industry.

Traci is survived by her father, Bruce Nichols (Molly), of Saranac Lake; brother, Todd Nichols, of Las Vegas, Nevada; and half-brothers Peter Nichols (Cameron Ulmer) of Somerville, Massachusetts, and Michael Nichols (Kamil Bruderek) of Everett, Massachusetts; and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.

She was predeceased by her mother, Evelyn Nichols.
