Agnes Mary Hollrock

Agnes Mary Hollrock, 73, a native and lifelong resident of Lake Placid, went Home to be with her Lord and Savior, Jesus, on April 17, 2023. She passed away peacefully surrounded by her loved ones and the beautiful mountains and lakes that she called home.

Agnes graduated from Lake Placid High School in 1969 and married William (Mike) Hollrock on Nov. 6, 1972. After graduating from North Country Community College, she worked for the Adirondack Park Agency, until the birth of her first son. For the next 25 years, her life was dedicated to raising and caring for her two sons, Todd and Brad. She was a member of Lake Placid Baptist Church and participated in many ministries through the church. After her sons were grown, she returned to work as a realtor at Merrill Thomas Real Estate until her retirement.

Agnes is survived by her husband of 50 years, Mike Hollrock; son Todd Hollrock, his wife Kester and their children August and Emma; and son Brad Hollrock, his wife Phoebe and their children Avery, Abby, Jackson, Grant and Hollis. She is also survived by her sisters, Brenda (Jim) Parrish, Alethea Bovee, Charis Dunn, Theresa (Jimmy) Kennerly, Mary Angel Bedard; and brother, Richard (Sandy) LaLonde. She is also survived by many beloved nieces and nephews and their families.

She was predeceased by her sister, Sandra Hudson, and brother, Scott LaLonde.

Agnes spent much of her time serving others in times of need. She was a friend to many and nursed some of her very close friends and family to the gates of Heaven. She had a heart as big as the Adirondack sky and would do anything for family or those she called friends. She loved her Lord and introduced many to Him over her lifetime. She knew that He was the Way, the Truth, and the Life as she claimed and prayed often for others to come to know Him as well.

A funeral service will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday, April 22 at the Lake Placid Baptist Church on Saranac Avenue. The service will be streamed live — at https://youtube.com/live/ctbjsbD-Cgs?feature=share — for those who may not be able to attend. The Rev. Jim Koenig, pastor, will officiate. A reception will follow at the Cascade Inn.
