A former resident of Lake Placid, Jerry was born on Sept. 16, 1940, in Plattsburgh. He was the son of the late Reginald McLean and the late Ida Lincoln McLean.

Jerry proudly served the United States Army from 1959 to 1963. He was a proud and devoted father; he loved his family passionately. Jerry was avid about serving and helping others in his community.

Left to cherish his memory are his daughter Adrianne McLean (Justin) of Washington; sons Jordan McLean (Kaleigh) of Sylva, Daniel McLean (Kim) of Saranac Lake, Mike McLean of Waynesville, and Gerald McLean Jr. (Jeana) of the home; grandchildren Grayson McLean and Andrew McLean; and brother Robert McLean (Ann) of Lake Placid.
