Born in Lake Placid, New York on June 14, 1932, she was the daughter of Eugene Maguire and Mildred Arquitte Maguire. Nancy married Dean Lynch on Aug. 22, 1953.

She accomplished so much during her lifetime. Nancy moved to Tucson in the early ’50s, where she was a teacher at Tucson High and Palo Verde and later, beginning in 1968, at the newly opened Sahuaro High. She was the home economics teacher there until she retired in 1992. She also taught evening clothing classes at the local junior college. She was the supervising teacher for university student teachers, a member of many Home Economics Associations and of St. Alban’s Church, where she was the education chairman.

Family and friends were extremely important to her. Nancy loved her many dogs, cats, lunch bunch groups, poker nights, the yearly New Year’s Eve gatherings, the family picnics and watching every U of A sporting event on TV.

She is survived by her son, Scott Lynch and Granddaughter, Chloe Lynch; daughter Dena Gallardo and son-in-law, Steve Gallardo; Granddaughters, Courtney Walker and Erin Blunk, all of whom reside in Tucson, Arizona; and two sisters: Lola Van Woert of North Port, Florida and Bette May of Lake Placid, New York. She also leaves behind a multitude of cousins, nieces, nephews and close/long time friends whom she called family.

Nancy lost her husband, Dean, in 1995, after 42 years of marriage. She was also proceeded in death by her father, Eugene Maquire and mother, Mildred Arquitte Maguire.
