Coleman T. Morford

    LAKE PLACID — Coleman T, Morford, 37, of Mill Pond Drive, Lake Placid, died unexpectedly Tuesday, January 5, 2010. He was born in Lake Placid, April 22, 1972, the son of Rickey and Ann (Nugent) Morford.

    Coleman was a graduate of Lake Placid High School, Class of 1986. He worked in Lake Placid and the surrounding area as a carpenter, both for himself and most recently for F.J. Fortune Construction. He was a member of the Lake Placid Fish and Game Club and the National Rifle Association. His love for hunting was unsurpassed. Coleman cherished the time he spent in the woods and enjoyed every moment he spent hunting with his family and friends. His infectious smile and love of life never failed to bring a smile or laughter (sometimes uncontrollable laughter) to anyone and everyone he met. He loved his nieces and nephews and considered them the light of his life. He was loved by all who knew him and “was one of a kind.” He will be deeply missed.

    He is survived by his parents, Rickey and Ann (Nugent)  Morford of Lake Placid; his sister, Rachel Gordon and her husband David of Peru, and their family, Andrew Wilson, Kodi Gordon, Austin Depo and Carter Gordon; his sister Miki Huntt and her husband Cory of Plattsburgh, and their family, Cody Morford, Chloe Hurteau, Marquinn Huntt and Malia Huntt; his sister, Charity Morford and her companion Logan Hanson and her family, Trinity Baillargeon, Branden Baillargeon and Alivia Baillargeon of Lake Placid; his grandfather Andrew Morford of Lake Placid; his grandmother, Catherine Nugent of Lake Placid; his great-grandmother, Blanche McCasland of Lake Placid, his companion Yvette Hough of Lake Placid; two aunts, Barbara Bitterman and her husband Michael and Andrea Lawrence and her husband Adrian and their family; three uncles, Jerry Nugent and his wife Patricia and Jerry’s daughter Jessica Nugent Meeks; his uncle Greg and his companion Clayton Jeffery and his uncle Ronald Morford; and many close friends.

    Visiting hours and a time for sharing stories with the family will be held Saturday, Jan. 9 from noon to 3 p.m. at the Clark Funeral Home in Lake Placid. A funeral service will follow at 3 p.m. at the funeral home. Rev. William Saxton, Pastor of the Pilgrim Holiness Church will officiate. Cremation will follow. Burial will be private and at the convenience of the family.
