KCS names Mark Bennett new superintendent
KEENE VALLEY — The Keene Central School District Board of Education is pleased to announce the appointment of Mark Bennett as the district’s new superintendent of schools. Bennett succeeds Dan Mayberry, who transitioned after 13 years of dedicated service.
Bennett brings with him more than twenty three years of experience in education, leadership, and community engagement. Most recently, he served as Assistant Superintendent of the Potsdam Central School District where he was recognized for his commitment to academic excellence, student-centered initiatives, and innovative approaches to learning.
“We are thrilled to welcome Mark Bennett to the Keene Central School community,” said Emily Reynolds Bergh, president of the Board of Education. “His vision for collaborative leadership and his deep understanding of small-district education will be invaluable as we continue to foster excellence for all our students.”
As superintendent, Bennett will oversee district operations, curriculum development, fiscal management and community partnerships, with a focus on maintaining Keene Central School’s strong academic reputation and close-knit culture.
