Program on loon nest camera study Aug. 21
KEENE VALLEY — A presentation, “Unveiling the Secret Lives of Nesting Adirondack Loons,” will be held from 2 to 3 p.m. on Aug. 21 at the Keene Valley Library.
The event will provide a summary of some of the findings of Adirondack Center for Loon Conservation’s nest camera study, as well as information about loon behavior and natural history and an overview of ACLC’s work overall.
There will also be a kids craft event titled: “Build a Loon Nest.” This event is free and open to the public.
The Adirondack Loon Center is located at 75 Main St. in Saranac Lake.
As the primary resource for loon conservation in New York’s Adirondack Park, this dynamic facility serves as a vital hub to share our science-based knowledge of loon ecology with Adirondack residents and visitors throughout the year.
The center is open from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. seven days a week. For more information, visit www.adkloon.org.
