Despite being open the past two weekends, the beach will not be officially open this weekend (June 28-29), according to town of North Elba officials. No reason for the closure was given. Instead, the beach will re-open on Monday, June 30 and remain open until Sept. 7, from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. The beach is located in downtown Lake Placid on the south end of Mirror Lake and can be accessed from Mirror Lake Drive or Parkside Drive.
