Flower display on through May 31

Tahawus Gallery in Au Sable Forks is presenting the works of eight artists from the Adirondacks who celebrate the beauty and wonder of flowers in ‘Fleurs.” Pictured is “Rootscape” by Noah Bonesteel. Other artists Heidi Gero, Audrey Godlewski, Sue Ann Godlewski, Alison Haas, Lynda Mussen, Carrie Plumadore, and Linda Williams display a garden of exploration where the petals unfold in unexpected ways through May 31. Rebecca Kelly, Artistic Director, notes that, “We are amazed at the wonderfully different ways there are to treat this subject. Some artists even use components of the flowers themselves to create compositions. The wide range of methods in this show are amazing. These eight artists invite us to look at nature’s beauty with fresh eyes and imagination.” Prepare to see flowers as never before through collage, eco-printing, wool felting, painting, paper sculpture, quilling, and intaglio printmaking. All are welcome and admission is free. Tahawus Gallery is open Saturdays 2 to 4 p.m., and by appointment.
