First Sustainability & Energy Fair is set for Sept. 14 in Jay

JAY — The towns of Jay and Keene are holding their first Sustainability & Energy Fair from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 14 at the historic Jay Village Green and the Amos & Julia Ward Theater.

The fair is designed to be a comprehensive celebration of sustainable living and energy efficiency. Attendees can look forward to a variety of activities including live music, engaging kids’ activities and an array of food and refreshments to enjoy throughout the day.

The event will feature a series of informative seminars aimed at empowering residents with knowledge on energy-saving practices and sustainable technologies. Topics include:

– Lowering Energy Costs: Practical tips and strategies to reduce your energy bills.

– Heat Pumps: Understanding their benefits and how they can improve home comfort.

– Solar Electricity: How solar panels can be a smart investment for your home.

– Electric Vehicles: Insights into the future of transportation and its environmental benefits.

– Composting: Simple steps to start composting and its positive impact on waste reduction.
