With high temperatures reaching into the upper 80s on Wednesday afternoon, June 19, beachgoers filled Mirror Lake Beach in Lake Placid ahead of its official opening on Saturday, June 22. The beach is located in downtown Lake Placid on the south end of Mirror Lake and can be accessed from Mirror Lake Drive or Parkside Drive. Admission is free. The beach is located next to Peacock Park and the tennis courts. The beach will be open from 10 a.m. to 6:15 p.m. every day. (News photo — Sydney Emerson)
