Lake Placid Film Fest sets 2024 dates

LAKE PLACID — Adirondack Film recently announced the dates for the 2024 Lake Placid Film Festival. It will run from Nov. 7 to Nov. 10.

“The 2023 edition of the Lake Placid Film Festival was one of our most successful to date,” Adirondack Film Board Chairperson Gary Smith said in a statement. “Between our collaboration with Catalyst Story Institute and their focus on independent television content, to our Student Summit program, whose goal is to educate the next generation of filmmakers with hands-on college programs, the festival is always striving to promote the arts in the Adirondacks and across the state. We look forward to surpassing last year’s blowout success.”

In the meantime, Adirondack Film offers year-round programming with their “See Something That Means Something” film series at the Lake Placid Center for the Arts. Films are shown at 7 p.m. on the third Friday of each month.The series kicks off Jan. 19 with the winner of the Best Screenplay at the Golden Globes, Justine Triet’s “Anatomy of a Fall.” Tickets are available at the door for $15 or online at adirondackfilm.org.
