LAKE PLACID — On Friday, Nov. 24, TruNorthern Federal Credit Union donated $500 to the Lake Placid Volunteer Fire Department to support their endeavors in providing the Lake Placid community with firefighting services. Based in Malone, TruNorthern Federal Credit Union was founded in 1972 by local educators that were affiliated with the North Franklin BOCES. Membership in the credit union is available for those who live, work, worship or attend school in Essex, Franklin, Clinton or St. Lawrence counties.
