Maria Hoffman recently opened Capisce Coffee & Espresso Bar at 5659 Cascade Road in Lake Placid, specializing in a selection of Italian specialties, coffee, teas and specialty beverages. They serve organic, all natural, locally sourced and Fair Trade products. A women-owned business, Capisce currently employs five local college students and recent college graduates.
