Memorial Day ceremonies planned in Lake Placid, Keene
LAKE PLACID — The Lake Placid American Legion Post 326 will host a parade and ceremonies for Memorial Day, May 29. The parade will kick off at 11 a.m. from Brewster Park, and ceremonies will be held at the Post at approximately 11:20 a.m. Main Street will be closed for a short period during the parade, and the portion of Main Street in front of the Post will be closed during the ceremonies.
The annual Memorial Day ceremony conducted by Marcy Post 1312 of the American Legion will also be held May 29 at the Veterans Memorial Site on Norton Cemetery Road in Keene at 10 a.m. There will be an Honor Guard, rifle squad, patriotic songs and the playing of echo taps. Names of all those who served this country since the Revolutionary War will be read during the ceremony.
