Jacob Malcomb makes his way up the Veterans Memorial Highway on the way to winning the Whiteface Uphill Footrace on Saturday. Malcomb, a 27-year-old from Canton, was the top finisher for the second year in a row. He completed the eight-mile course that started at the intersection of state Route 86 and 431 in Wilmington and climbed the highway to just below the 4,867-foot summit in 1:04:19:69.
