NYSEF racers reach podium

New York Ski Educational Foundation team members Beatrix Lever, center, and Cecily Decker, left, took the top two spots in Saturday’s open ladies’ giant slalom race at Whiteface Mountain in Wilmington. Former NYSEF racer Kalen Griffin, right, was third and is now racing with the St. Lawrence University team. Lever won with a two-run time of 1:46.54, followed by Decker in 1:47.49 and Griffin in 1:47.54. St. Lawrence dominated the men’s race, with Dustin Martin, Graham Scott and Ben Deflavio occupying the top three spots. Colden Mrak (ninth) and Jake Middleton (15th) were the top NYSEF men.
