Derek Doty, a Democrat, has been a key member of the North Elba Town Council for 16 years. In that time he has led efforts to improve our town’s infrastructure while cutting costs and creating new revenue streams. He is a savvy manager and a hard worker who knows how to get things done and make people feel positive about their contributions to the greater good.

Derek Doty, who will represent North Elba on the influential Essex County Board of Supervisors, supports additional funding for county public health, pandemic preparedness and response, and expanded services for women’s and children’s health care.

As the pandemic has proven, Essex County needs to have the health infrastructure, medical staff and outreach systems in place to ensure the safety and health of our community. Ensuring access to the full range of health services, especially for the most vulnerable members of our community, requires proactive local leadership.
