Thanks for a great send-off at the paper
To the editor:
The communities the Adirondack Daily Enterprise reaches and the individuals it engages are amazing. I discovered this when I retired. The outpouring of well wishes had taken me by surprise and left me so grateful to have had the opportunity to have met and known so many people over the years.
I want to thank all who celebrating my retirement with such heart-warming messages with cards, emails, phone calls, videos, flowers and gifts from readers, past and present employees, business owners and associates and community leaders.
On top of all these well wishes were those who took time out of their busy day in a drive-by parade past the Enterprise to wave and display well wishes with signs and balloons. I can’t express my deep appreciation enough to all who represented the Saranac Lake Police Department, Adirondack Health, Saranac Lake Volunteer Fire Department, Saranac Lake Rotary, Regional Office of Sustainable Tourism, Coakley Home and Hardware, Ron Keough, Jim and Sharon Bishop, as well as employees, friends and family.
It it is great to see such a display of community spirit that is so uplifting, especially during these challenging times. This is a testimonial that the North Country communities are very special, and I am so grateful to know these inspiring people.
Thank you for your friendship, and I will be seeing you around town or reading about you in the Adirondack Daily Enterprise. My personal email is firstname.lastname@example.org if you want to get in touch with me.
