Lake Placid Sinfonietta will decide on 2020 season by June 1

To the editor:

We recognize that this is a period of concern and uncertainty about what the next few months will bring. As this situation evolves, the Lake Placid Sinfonietta will place the health and well-being of its audiences and performing musicians at the forefront of any decisions that have to be made. At this time, we are moving ahead with plans for concerts from July 8 to Aug. 16, but if changes to the summer schedule become necessary we will post that information on our website, on the LPSinfonietta Facebook page and in the press by June 1. Your ongoing support during this difficult time is most sincerely appreciated.

In response to this situation, our year-round staff is working from home to continue to prepare for the summer concert season and are available by email. We have limited the number of 2020 Sinfonietta Notes newsletters that were mailed, so if you have not received one in the mail, it is available at https://tinyurl.com/un7ujgy for you to read.

We know that performances by our world-class Sinfonietta musicians and wonderful guest artists uplift us and make summer days even brighter. We want our 2020 season, “See The Music,” to be an outstanding season in this sports-minded Olympic area with our own “Musical Olympians” bringing you “Gold Medal Performances!”

We wish you peace and good health and very much hope that we will see each of you at a concert next summer!
