Don’t tear up the tracks
To the editor:
The citizens of Lake Placid should object to the removal of the railroad tracks in order to create another trail. There are plenty of trails, but only one alternate (non-highway) mode of transportation into the area. In fact, the only hope for another Olympics in Placid is for the tracks to remain intact.
