The Garden Club of Lake Placid had a strong showing of volunteers this season and finally put the Triangle Garden opposite the North Elba Show Grounds to bed last week.

Without these individuals from the club and town, we would not be able to maintain this attractive entrance to our community.

Our monthly sponsors deserve credit as they provide incentive for us with refreshments and snacks at their establishments after our monthly, one hour of labor: Delta Blue at Northwoods Inn, Lake Placid Pub & Brewery, Liquids and Solids, The Cottage, Interlaken Lodge, Pan Dolce and Big Mountain Deli and Creperie.

The North Elba Park District is responsible for the necessary removal of refuse after our sessions and cutting the grass. The Park District recently mulched both mounds for the winter.

We must not forget our resident photographer, John Eldridge, for his professional pictures of workers and plants. The Lake Placid News has also afforded us excellent coverage.

The cooperation of an organization, volunteers, businesses, village and town accomplishes amazing feats.
