LIBRARY NEWS: New library arrivals and programs
In recent weeks, our children’s summer and adult programs have enlivened our spaces with laughter and energy. As the sun-drenched days of summer slowly wane, we eagerly anticipate the vibrant activities and events that the fall season in Lake Placid will bring. Our dedicated staff is hard at work curating an array of new programs and exciting happenings to enrich our community life.
The library staff express their gratitude for the dedication and hard work of the numerous providers who contributed to the children’s programming this summer. This includes engaging activities such as “Sing a Story Read a Song” with Nan Hoffman, “Whoo’s That” with the Southern Vermont Natural History Museum, “Storytime with RiverJack Z,” “The Birding Program” with Kristin Collins, the environmental educator from the Point AuRoche State Park Nature Center, Stewart’s Shops, and of course, the participants of Smokey Bear’s 80th birthday celebration.
