Born Oct. 16, 1930, in New Haven, Connecticut, she was the daughter of George Clifford Andrews and Helen Regina Waltermire Andrews.

Lois was a graduate of Keeseville Central High School and earned her registered nurse degree from Champlain Valley Hospital School of Nursing. She was an RN staff member of the Placid Memorial Hospital. She worked for Dr. Collins in Albany for more than 17 years.

After retiring from the nursing profession, she worked at the Swiss Boutique in Lake Placid.

Lois married Eugene Peryea on Jan. 12, 1957, and together they celebrated 54 years of marriage. He proceeded her in death.

Lois was an active member of St. Agnes Catholic Church and served as a greeter. She loved her family, friends and her home in Lake Placid. Lois enjoyed the gift of chatting daily with friends and family. She also enjoyed gardening and reading.

Survivors include sons Lawrence and Carl; niece Kim (Andrews) Kranz; and cousin Christine (Andrews) Sawyer.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial donations be made to Good Shepherd Hospice, 110 Bi-County Blvd., Suite 114, Farmingdale, NY 11735.

A graveside service will be held at 2 p.m. Monday, June 14 at the North Elba Cemetery in Lake Placid with the Rev. Paul Kelly officiating.
