Lynn Clausen

After a strong fight, Lynn Clausen, 68, succumbed to complications of a stroke at Homes Regional Medical Center in Melbourne, Florida on Aug. 10, 2020.

The daughter of Leona Fetzer, Anthony Casalaro and Emmett Lyons, Lynn grew up in Elmsford, New York. She spent her summers in the small rural Adirondack town of Jay, New York, just outside the iconic village of Lake Placid. Residents and locals of Jay and Lake Placid will fondly remember Lynn for her career in hospitality at the Golden Arrow Hotel.

After leaving Jay, Lynn moved to Satellite Beach, Florida, where she resumed her career at the Holiday Inn Hotel in Cocoa Beach, Florida and the Manatee Cove Golf Course at Patrick Air Force Base.

Lynn was fun-loving and always made sure everyone was included. Lynn was also an amateur NASA enthusiast and would wake up early to watch launches and space exploration missions out of Cape Canaveral. Lynn loved traveling and photography. Most of all, Lynn will be remembered as an unapologetic and dedicated dog-mom to her beloved chihuahua Martini.

Lynn is survived by her longtime companion, Peter (Francis) Mosher; sisters, Karen Lyons (Chris) Nieminski, Ursula Lyons Walsh, Joan (Robert) Nast; brother, Vincent Lyons; and many beloved cousins. She is predeceased by sisters Joan Whitlock and Carol Cmero.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in her name to the St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital at 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.

Due to coronavirus pandemic restrictions, a celebration of life will be scheduled in the near future. Arrangements by Beach Funeral Home in Indian Harbour Beach, Florida.
