Senior Outing Club plans nature walk this Tuesday

A nature walk with Ed Kanze, an Adirondack Guide, on the Barnum Brook path looking for spring wildflowers and birds.

SARANAC LAKE — The Saranac Village at Will Rogers’ Senior Outing Club’s May event will be on Tuesday at the Paul Smith’s Visitor Interpretive Center.

Cost for the visit is $5 per person.

We’ll take a nature walk with Ed Kanze, an Adirondack Guide, on the accessible trail, the Barnum Brook path, looking for spring wildflowers and birds. Lunch will be a picnic, immediately following the walk ($10 per person).

A second walk will be after lunch to the Boreal Life trail and boardwalk.

The Saranac Village at Will Rogers Senior Outing Club, is open to all seniors (55+) interested in venturing out for moderate activity at various locations around the area.

Activities are held on the last Tuesday of the month. The club’s mission is to “offer seniors the chance to enjoy outdoor adventures with companionship, safety and fun.”

Please wear good walking shoes and clothing for potentially buggy or inclement weather.
